FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) Bag Filter Housing is a high-performance filtration unit engineered for demanding industrial applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and lightweight construction. Designed to accommodate standard filter bags, this housing is suitable for removing suspended solids, particulates, and debris from liquids across a wide range of industries.
Constructed using a resin-impregnated fiberglass structure, the FRP housing offers outstanding resistance to chemicals, saltwater, and corrosive fluids, making it ideal for use in seawater filtration, chemical processing, wastewater treatment, desalination, and other aggressive environments where metallic housings may fail or degrade.
The housing typically includes a top-opening lid (secured with clamps or bolts), a support basket made of PP (polypropylene) or SS 316 to hold the filter bag, and chemical-resistant sealing gaskets (EPDM, Viton, or Buna-N). Inlet and outlet connections are available in threaded, flanged, or grooved formats to suit different piping systems.
Made from Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) with specialized resin (e.g., vinyl ester or epoxy resin) to withstand aggressive chemicals, acids, alkalis, and saltwater.
Ideal for corrosive or marine environments where stainless steel or carbon steel housings would degrade.
Accommodates Single or Multiple filter bags (typically from 1 or 3 to 12 or more), significantly increasing filtration surface area and flow capacity.
Designed for high-volume filtration with efficient dirt-holding capacity.
Supports large flow capacities ranging from 20 m³/h to over 300 m³/h, depending on the number of bags and micron rating.
Suitable for batch or continuous filtration processes.
Top-loading design for easy replacement of filter bags.
Swing-bolt or clamp-type cover with lifting eye or davit arm for fast, secure opening/closing.
Chemical-resistant gaskets (EPDM, Viton, NBR) ensure a tight, leak-proof seal even under pressure.
Prevents bypass of unfiltered fluid.
Perforated SS 316 or PP baskets support the filter bags and prevent rupture or collapse under pressure.
Designed for quick removal and cleaning.
Operating pressure: typically up to 6–10 bar (87–145 psi)
Operating temperature: up to 60°C (140°F), depending on the resin system used
Custom pressure and temperature ratings available on request.
Available in flanged, threaded, or grooved-end connections.
Standard configurations: ANSI, DIN, or JIS flanges.
Connection sizes typically range from 2″ to 8″ or larger, depending on model.
FRP construction offers lighter weight than metal housings, reducing installation and structural support costs.
Optimized layout for footprint efficiency, especially in skid-mounted or containerized systems.
Excellent for use in explosive or hazardous environments where metallic housings could pose electrical or spark hazards.
Simple and fast bag replacement without tools.
Side drain ports and vent ports for complete drainage and air release during maintenance.
Optional pressure gauges and differential pressure indicators.
