JM Carbon Filter Cartridge (CTO/GAC)

Carbon filter cartridge is a water filtration component that uses activated carbon media to remove chlorine, bad taste, odors, and organic contaminants from water. These cartridges are commonly used in residential, commercial, and industrial water treatment systems as pre-filters or polishing filters to improve water quality and protect downstream equipment.

Carbon filter cartridges are available in two main types:

• CTO (Carbon Block): The CTO carbon filter cartridge is made from compressed activated carbon in a solid block form. It is designed to remove chlorine, taste, odor, and some sediment and organic compounds from water. The carbon block structure offers a higher surface area, allowing more effective contaminant adsorption and improved filtration performance.

• GAC (Granular Activated Carbon): The GAC filter cartridge contains loose granular activated carbon. It provides efficient filtration by allowing water to pass through a bed of carbon granules. GAC filters are particularly effective at removing chlorine, taste, odor, and certain organic chemicals from water.
